ADC Donates Drying Cabinet to Hometown Fire Station

FALL RIVER, Mass. — The Fall River Fire Department recently received a state-of-the-art drying cabinet for its Flint Reney/Eastwood Fire Station, donated by locally based equipment manufacturer American Dryer Corp. (ADC).
The specialized cabinet called the EcoDry ADFG is designed for the drying of firefighter turnout gear, critical to the safety of first responders.
The turnout gear is built to withstand heat and fire, says Fall River Fire Chief Paul Ford. Once the heavy insulated and tear-proof fabric gets wet, it can take days to fully dry.
“The Fall River Fire Department does an excellent job protecting the residents and businesses of Fall River and this donation is simply our way of saying thank you,” says Joseph Bazzinotti, ADC president.
The cabinet has several standard features, including five removable coat and pants hangers, a self-diagnostic processor, two independent heating and fan systems, and a drainage basin for water run-off.
ADC painted the cabinet “fire engine red” and inscribed it specifically for the Fall River Fire Department.
